MAINTENANCE:

Keeping your Chemex^® in tip-top shape couldn't be simpler! Between uses a quick rinse is all you will need.

An occasional thorough washing is a great way to ensure you get a lifetime of use out of your Chemex^®. Simply remove the wooden collar and hand wash with warm soap and water, or place the coffeemaker securely in the dishwasher.

• Q: Is the Chemex^® coffee maker dishwasher safe?

  A: Yes, remove the leather tie and wood collar first.

• Q: Can you use non-Chemex^® brand filters with the Chemex Coffee Maker?

  While you could technically fold large #6 filters to fit in the Chemex^® we do not recommend it. A lot of what makes the Chemex^® flavor so distinct is the high density filters made specifically for the Chemex^®.
